IT-Label Academy
Become a certified IT-Label inspector
The course for inspectors of Certified Partners. You learn the IT-Label, the technology in buildings and the fixed method, and you finish with a personal certificate.
Why the Academy?
Sign with your name
From 1 April 2027, only certified IT-Label inspectors can sign a report. With the certificate you are ready for that.
Demonstrably according to the method
Clients can verify your certificate by its number. If you wish, your name appears in the public register.
One standard, everywhere
An IT2 in Amsterdam means the same as an IT2 in Eindhoven. That makes the label strong, for you and for every other partner.
What you learn
Five modules, with short lessons, animations and practice questions. Modules 1 to 3 are required for the certificate; modules 4 and 5 add an extra endorsement.
1. The IT-Label (required)
Why the label exists, the six levels from IT5 SHELL to IT1+ PREMIUM, the assessment areas and your role as an independent inspector.
2. IT and buildings (required)
Fibre and redundancy, cabling, IT rooms, power and cooling, WiFi, Smart Building, cybersecurity and the legislation that comes with it.
3. Carrying out a pre-inspection (required)
From the appointment to the signed report, with a practice case on the sample building De Horizon.
4. Certification and audit (additional)
The full certification process: the audit, the classification, the certificate and the improvement process.
5. Digital Due Diligence (additional)
Investigating the digital infrastructure in a purchase, sale or major lease transaction, and the advisory report.
Written and reviewed by the knowledge collective
The Academy is written by IT-Label's independent knowledge collective: professionals from real estate and IT who pool their knowledge of digital infrastructure. So you learn not only the theory, but also what is happening in buildings in practice.

- Reviewed against the method and against practice before a lesson goes online.
- Kept up to date. When technology, legislation or the method changes, the knowledge collective updates the lessons and tests. Think of the Dutch Cybersecurity Act or the shortage in the fibre market.
How it works
Online, at your own pace
Register
Your partner registers you in the portal. IT-Label opens the course for you.
Learn
Lessons, animations and practice questions in the partner portal, whenever it suits you. In Dutch or English.
Test
An online test per module. If you do not pass the first time, you can retake it.
Interview
An assessment interview with IT-Label about a practical case, for example a pre-inspection.
