Classifications IT1+ – IT1 – IT2 – IT3 – IT4 – IT5

From application to certificate

The IT-Label is determined through an independent audit in which both the physical infrastructure and the actual performance are assessed.

The process

Four steps to an IT-Label

1

Apply

You register your building with a certified partner. The partner agrees the scope: which building, which spaces, which delivery level is assessed.

2

Audit

The partner assesses the infrastructure on site and measures the actual performance under real-world conditions.

3

Classification

The outcome is translated into an IT-Label ranging from IT1+ to IT5, with a justification for each component.

4

Certificate

You receive the certificate and the accompanying materials. See what you get.

What happens during the audit

The audit looks at the complete digital foundation of a building. Not just whether provisions are present, but whether they actually function, are reliable, are scalable and meet the needs of modern users.

That distinction matters. A building may have fibre optic on paper while throughput disappoints in practice, or WiFi that lacks capacity on a busy Tuesday afternoon. The IT-Label measures what actually happens.

The outcome

The assessment is translated into an IT-Label ranging from IT1+ to IT5. Each level describes a digital delivery level: view all classifications. Who does what is recorded in the IT Demarcation List.

The certificate is valid for two years. After changes or upgrades, recertification may take place. That is deliberate: digital infrastructure ages faster than a building, and a label that lasted ten years would say nothing.
