Sustainability increasingly runs on data
Saving energy starts with insulation and installations. The next step is measuring and controlling, and that requires a good digital foundation.

Energy and IT come together
Anyone making a building more sustainable thinks of insulation, better glazing, a heat pump and solar panels. That remains the basis.
The next step is about smart use: heating where people are, lights off where nobody is, and installations that report a fault in time. That requires sensors, building management and energy monitoring, and those only work on a reliable network. Also read Smart buildings and the IT-Label.
What the IT-Label gives you
Insight into the digital foundation
Whether sensors, building management and energy monitoring can work reliably.
More information →A fuller picture alongside the energy label
The energy label shows energy performance, the IT-Label the digital delivery level. Together they give a more complete picture.
More information →Substantiation for ESG
Digital readiness is becoming a fixed factor in valuing real estate, alongside energy and user experience.
More information →Investing wisely
You see where a digital foundation delivers more than yet another new installation.
More information →No replacement for the energy label
A higher IT-Label does not automatically lead to a higher energy label. They measure different things. The IT-Label shows whether the digital foundation is in place to measure and control energy.

Smart buildings and the IT-Label
Climate, lighting, access and sensors only work together on a reliable digital foundation. The IT-Label makes that foundation visible.
Digital quality and the value of your real estate
Without reliable connectivity, a building loses functionality, appeal and ultimately value. The IT-Label makes that quality visible.
The IT-Label classifications
The IT-Label has six classifications. Each level describes a different digital delivery level and what that means for the user.
IT-Label certification
The official IT-Label audit: physical infrastructure and actual performance, translated into a label from IT5 to IT1+. Valid for two years.
