From initiative to standard: the IT-Label in a new house style

A new wordmark, a fixed payoff and one visual language, on the website and now also on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.

Key takeaways

  • The IT-Label has a new house style: timeless, independent and recognisable, with the payoff "The standard for digital real estate".
  • The familiar symbol stays. What is new: the wordmark, a single typeface, a calm colour palette and line drawings instead of photos.
  • The website has carried the new house style since early October. LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube now follow.
  • Existing certificates remain valid. The assessment method does not change.

From initiative to standard

The IT-Label started with a simple question: how good is the digital infrastructure of a building, really? Since then, it has grown into a complete standard. With the pre-inspection, the certification, Digital Due Diligence, the Security Audit and Smart Control. With Certified Partners who carry out the audits, a Knowledge Collective that safeguards the method, and an Academy that trains inspectors. And with the ambition to become the Benelux standard for the digital quality of real estate.

A standard should also look like one. Calm, consistent and reliable, wherever you come across the IT-Label. That is why the IT-Label has a new house style. It confirms what the IT-Label has become: no longer a separate initiative, but a mature standard.

What is new

  • The logo. The familiar symbol stays exactly as it was. That keeps it recognisable. What is new is the "IT-LABEL" wordmark, clean and widely spaced.
  • The payoff. "The standard for digital real estate." One sentence that says what the IT-Label stands for, in Dutch, English, German and French.
  • One typeface and a calm palette. The same typeface everywhere, and mainly navy and white, with light blue as an accent. No bright colours and no effects.
  • Line drawings instead of photos. Buildings, networks and workplaces are drawn in thin lines. That way, the focus is on the infrastructure itself, not on one particular building.
  • Renewed certification marks. The marks from IT5 SHELL to IT1+ PREMIUM have a new, understated design. The level can be read at a glance.
  • Renewed documents. Reports, certificates and quotes share the same structure and look.
  • Explainer films. Each service has a short film that shows in a few scenes how it works.

Everything follows the same rules. So you recognise the IT-Label straight away, whether you are looking at a certificate, reading a report or seeing a post on social media.

Now on social media too

The website has carried the new house style since early October. We are now rolling it out on our social media channels: LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. The posts get the same calm layout as the website: navy and white, the new logo and line drawings. That makes the IT-Label recognisable everywhere.

What it means for you

Does your building have an IT-Label? Then nothing changes about your certificate. It remains valid, with the same level and the same period of validity. Only the design of new documents is different.

Are you a Certified Partner? If you use the website widget or the badge in your email signature, you will see the new mark automatically, because they are loaded from it-label.com. If you have placed the badge as a separate file on your own website, download the new version in the partner portal, under "Materialen" (Materials).

For everyone, the substance stays the same. The methodology used to assess buildings does not change. The new house style is about how the IT-Label looks, not about how it judges.

Frequently asked questions

Does my certificate remain valid?

Yes. An existing IT-Label remains valid, with the same level and the same end date. The new house style does not change the assessment.

I am a Certified Partner. Do I need to do anything?

If you use the website widget or the badge in your email signature, you do not need to do anything: they show the new mark automatically. If you have the badge as a separate file on your website, replace it with the new version from the partner portal, under "Materialen" (Materials).

Does the way buildings are assessed change?

No. The methodology, the six areas and the levels from IT5 SHELL to IT1+ PREMIUM stay the same. Only the design is new.
