Office buildings: where digital demands are highest

In an office, the network is the shop floor. Video conferencing, cloud applications and AI all run over the same infrastructure.

What office tenants expect today

An office tenant no longer assesses a property purely on square metres and location. The question is whether staff can work the way they're used to: which in practice means: connectivity everywhere, including in the meeting room, including when everyone is online at once.

That makes WiFi coverage and capacity hard selection criteria. A property that falls short there gets ruled out, often without the landlord hearing why.

Which level fits your office building?

For offices, the market's centre of gravity sits around IT2 PLUG & PLAY and IT1 HIGH PERFORMANCE: the foundation is there, the tenant can get started, and there's room to optimise.

Do you deliver IT4 CORE or IT5 SHELL? That's not a problem, but it is a different proposition: you're targeting tenants who want to determine their own environment. The label ensures that message is clear in advance.

Smart Building is no longer an extra for offices

Access control, climate control, visitor registration and reservation systems are increasingly seen as standard for offices. The IT-Label looks not only at whether they're present, but also whether they work together. Read more about Smart Building technology.
