Commercial real estate was long assessed on visible characteristics: location, floor area, structural condition and accessibility by car or public transport. Tenants have long looked at energy labels, sustainability, accessibility and flexibility. Now a new category is added: internet capabilities, existing IT infrastructure and the degree of digital readiness.

How the IT-Label makes digital quality visible

  • the network provisions within the building;

The levels of the label

The classification has six levels, each suited to a different user and real estate strategy:

  1. IT1+ PREMIUM: aimed at the heaviest digital requirements, including AI applications.
  2. IT2 PLUG & PLAY: standard plug-and-play, allowing a user to become operational quickly.
  3. IT3 READY: basic infrastructure present, ready to build on.
  4. IT4 CORE: minimal infrastructure, suitable for users with limited digital requirements.
  5. IT5 SHELL: no digital infrastructure, with the user installing it themselves.
